TUV-accredited and ISO 9000:2000 company, Mato Products, is a subsidiary of the Multotec Group. Mato is the only local manufacturer of mechanical conveyor belt fastening systems in Africa. This system is the preferred choice in most mining and materials-handling operations worldwide and is used specifically in coal mining and hard rock applications.

Manufacturing Capabilities
The conveyor belt fastening clips are manufactured at the South African plant, which has the only machine of its type on the continent. Mato Products uses high-quality technology from its German partner.

Additionally, this division has a dedicated and experienced technical team focused on sales and support of products in the field, and providing customers with a repair and return service for all accessories.

Research and development has culminated in the South African manufactured belt skiver, an important component in the fastening of nitrile covered PVC and rubber-conveyor belts. A wavemaster system is available to counteract the wave effect when the Mato clips are used on rubber conveyors.
