Screening and Flotation Solutions
Multotec provides a range of screening and flotation
solutions for the minerals processing, mining and
materials-handling industries through Multotec
Manufacturing. It is the only company in South
Africa that focuses on the manufacture of
polyurethane flotation components for all types of
flotation equipment. The polyurethane provides
longer life and is very elastic, keeping the
apertures of the screen panels free of adhering
particles.
Manufacturing Capabilities
Manufacturing of the screening and flotation
solutions are completed at Multotec’s custom-built
facility that uses state-of-the-art equipment. Key
aspects of the production process include the use of
sophisticated automated castings as well as
injection moulding and cylindrical welding machines.

Design and engineering is carried out
using the most recent FEA, ProEng and CAD software. The development
of the division’s new products as well as its
ongoing improvement of its existing range has
resulted in significant cost savings for its
customers. A high level of applications knowledge,
technical expertise and constant interaction with
customers, has ensured its success.

Screening Solutions
The newly developed composite internal frame in the PU
screen is much lighter, cost-effective,
environmentally-friendly and encompass power-saving
features. The screening solutions range consists of:

Flotation Solutions
This division offers polyurethane or rubber lined
flotation equipment, which is cost-effective, retains
its shape for longer, has improved efficiency and longer
life. It also manufactures all components that are used
in flotation cells with customised materials for
different applications. Field
Service
Multotec Manufacturing is also dedicated and committed
to providing spare parts as well as after-sales support
using field service teams. Its experienced field-service
support teams provide high levels of service, with
on-site inspection. Delivering detailed client reports
and providing on-going monitoring of equipment, Multotec
Manufacturing also completes the installation and
maintenance of equipment if required. In addition,
Multotec is aptly suited and has branches in Kimberley,
Cape Town, Richards Bay, Kathu, Witbank, Secunda,
Rustenburg, Steelpoort and Lapalele.
